Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an accumulation of ash in the discharged gas passage and also a corrosion of the passage by a method wherein an efficient separation of the ash from the discharged gas is performed in a duct hopper device for collecting the ash of the discharged gas. CONSTITUTION:Duct hopper 7 for collecting dust is formed at a curved part for changing a direction of flow from a vertical direction to a horizontal direction. At the lower end of the hopper 7 is formed a projecting hopper 7' and at the same time a buffle 15 is arranged at the bent part of the duct. Arrangement of the buffle 15 causes the flow of the discharged gas to be formed along a wall of the hopper 7 so as to improve a function of separating and dropping of the ash into the hopper 7'. Therefore, the flow of ash into the downstream side of the discharged gas is decreased and an accumulation of ash and the corrosion of the device may be overcome.
