Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the classification of fine particles with highly accurate efficiency by continuously passing a fine particles-mixed liquid to be classified through a centrifugal field in a stabilized flow state.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid containing various sizes of fine particles to be classified is flowed from an inlet 2 into an upper narrow aperture 6 turning integrally with an enclosed container 1 and an intermediate body 5. In the aperture 6, the liquid flows in stabilized laminar flow state and is directed to a separation space 15 by centrifugal force, where coarse particles present are blown off toward outside, thereby fine particles flow into the lower narrow aperture and are taken out through an outlet 3 by the pressure of the liquid to be classified from an outlet pipe 10. On the other hand, the coarse particles are collected in the separation space 15 and then discharged through an outlet 4 and an outlet path 11 from a discharge pipe 12.
