Abstract
PURPOSE: To treat a large amount of raw liquid without using any driving device by letting the raw liquid swirl between spiral vanes and flow down thereby separating the raw liquid by the difference of specific gravity to the outer side and inner side of the spiral vanes and discharging the same in the separator comprising securing a spiral separating barrel to the separator body.
CONSTITUTION: When raw liquid is introduced from a lead-in port 3, it flows down while swirling by gravity in the spiral paths between the spiral vanes 6 of a spiral separating barrel 2. At this time, the heavier components of the raw liquid are separated to the outer side of the spiral paths and the lighter components to the inner side by the centrifugal force through swirling. The former are discharged through the heavy liquid discharge port 4 of the body 1. On the other hand, the light liquid is discharged through the light liquid discharge port 5 of the spiral separating barrel 2 and out through the light liquid discharge port 8 via passage 7.
