Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate the raw liquid efficiently by utilizing the difference in specific gravity, by opening the raw liquid transfer inlet of a centrifugal separator in a way to apply whirl flow, and providing a rotating multilayer umbrella-shaped separation plate in a conical tube vertically placed in the main body.

CONSTITUTION: A conical tube 2 is vertically placed on the central upper wall of a separation chamber 1 in a centrifugal separator, and a conical tray 3 is opposely provided to the conical tube 2, and multiple layers of umbrella-shaped separation plates 7 are affixed to a rotary drive shaft 6 which is suspended in the middle inside the conical tube 2. The raw liquid introduced from a raw liquid inlet pipe 11 is turned into whirl flow by a raw liquid inlet port 12 opened in the circumferential direction, and sinks down while whirling the outside of a communicating pipe 14, and the heavy liquid having a large specific gravity is discharged from a primary heavy liquid discharge pipe 21, while the light liquid climbs in the communicating pipe 14 to be introduced into the separation chamber 1 and is injected out from a liquid supply port 8 to be separated by the difference in specific gravity by the separation action of the rotating umbrella-shaped separation plates, and the relatively light liquid is discharged to outside from the heavy liquid discharge pipe 23 through the light liquid delivery port 4.
