Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit a solid phase to stick and grow on the inside wall of a mixing device by forming plural circulating flow passages within the device, making the levels of the discharge ports of the circulating flow passages different and deviating the inlets from the centers of the respective horizontal swirling flows. CONSTITUTION:A mixing tank 2 consists of a cover part 2c, a cylindrical part 2a and a conical bottom part 2b. Solid-liquid mixed liquid is supplied from a supply pipe 1 into the tank 2, and the mixed liquid in the tank 2 is taken out from the bottom of the tank 2 in the circulating flow passages A1 with a pump 4 and is pumped up into the upper part of the cylindrical part 2a. In the circulating flow passage A2, the liquid is taken out from the upper part of the cylindrical part 2a and is pumped down to the conical bottom part 2b. In the circulating flow passage A3, the liquid is taken out from the lower part of the cylindrical part 2a and is discharged into the upper part of the cylindrical part 2a. Since the discharge ports of the respective flow passages open in the direction tangential to the inside circumferential surface of the tank 2, the ejecting flow horizontally swirls and moves. Part thereof flows from above to below and part from below to above in the tank 2; therefore the mixed liquid in the tank 2 is effectively mixed. The mixed liquid extraction ports of the respective flow passage are provided on the tank 2 wall surfaces deviated from the center of the respective swirling flows.
