Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a floatation tank from being blocked and improve the effect of separation, by dividing the interior of the floatation tank into a contact chamber and a floatation chamber, and providing the contact chamber with a drainage supply pipe and a pressure water supply pipe opposing each other, whereby the mixing of drainage with pressure water and the formation of bubbles can be carried out sufficiently.
CONSTITUTION: Drainage is introduced downwardly into a contact chamber 1 through a drainage supply pipe 5 via a pump P1. Pressure water is introduced upwardly into the contact chamber 1 through a pressure water supply pipe 6 by a circulation pump P2 via a pressure tank 7, so that the drainage and pressure water flow toward each other to be mixed sufficiently. A sufficiently mixed water flows over a partition wall 8 into a floatation chamber 2. Aggregate of particles floated from the mixed water flowing into the floatation chamber 2 are held by buckles 3, and a separated liquid alone is transferred to a subsequent step. The aggregate of the floated particles is scraped out by a flight conveyor 9.
