Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of produced sewage by utilizing the back-flushing water of a rotary drum type long hair filter as pressurized water to be supplied to a pressure floating vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Through waste water supply pipe 7, waste water from a rotary disk, etc. has a confluence with water containing much air, flowing from pressurized water supply pipe 8 via pressure reducing valve 13 right before flowing into pressure floating vessel 1. The waste water is spouted out of nozzle 12 together with air bubbles and sludge in the waste water floats sticking to the surfaces of the air bubbles and are scraped by scraper 2. This sludge is collected in vessel 16 and sent to a dehydrating equipment via sludge pump 17. The waste water from which the sludge has been removed overflows partition wall 11 to flow in the 2nd water vessel 3 and is filtered by rotary drum type filter 4. For the back flushing of the filter, pump 5 is put in operation to send under pressure the sludge on the filter surface into air solving vessel 6 together with flushing water. In this case, compressed air is supplied into piping 10 by compressor 14.
