Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus capable of recovering heat effectively from an intermittently produced heat source by use of reversible chemical reaction of heat accumulating materials such as CaO/Ca(OH)2, and providing a power system capable of affording a constant output.
CONSTITUTION: In case that waste gas or exhaust gas is supplied, it is introduced into heater 3, with valves 22W24 being opened and valves 25W27 being closed, for heating heat accumulating material 5 of Ca(OH)2 and thereby causing a chemical reaction, Ca(OH)2→CaO+H2O (steam). Steam thus produced is carried to low- pressure turbine 9 for effecting work. On the other hand, exhaust gas is supplied to exhaust gas boiler 7 for heating condensate from condenser 12 by means of heat exchanger 6, and steam thus produced is supplied to high-pressure turbine 8. In case that exhaust gas is not supplied, steam extracted from turbine 8 is supplied to heat accumulating material 5, with valves 22W24 being closed and valves 25W27 being opened, and steam is produced from heat receiving means 2 through a chemical reaction, CaO+H2O→Ca(OH)2+15.2Kcal.
