Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of fuel necessary for incineration treatment of the sludge by a method wherein a heat exchanger to recover the heat of exhaust gas and a drier to dry the sludge with the heat recovered by the heat exchanger are communicatively provided between a sludge supply equipment and the sludge incineration equipment in order to burn the dried sludge.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas g4discharged from the sludge incineration equipment C through a dust collector 11 is heat-exchanged with the outside air blasted by a blower 12 at the heat exchange unit D and the heated outside air g3 is supplied to the incineration equipment C. On the other hand, the heat-exchanged exhaust gas g1 is sent in the inner pipe 4 of the drier B for heating the inside thereof. The exhaust gas g1 is induced through a piping l5 by means of an induced draft fan 13 to be discharged from a chimney stack 15 to the open air, while the dust within the exhaust gas g1 is collected with a dust collector 14.
