Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the thermal stress caused in a steam turbine, by closing a fuel stop valve for a gas turbine after the main steam control valve is closed completely in a combined plant consisting of a gas turbine, a waste-heat recovering boiler and a steam turbine.
CONSTITUTION: A combined plant shown in the drawing consists of a gas turbine 4, a generator 6 and a steam turbine 7 which are coupled together by a single shaft. By use of the waste heat of gas turbine 4, steam is generated in a waste-heat recovering boiler and supplied to the steam turbine 7. Here, by closing a fuel stop valve for the gas turbine after a main steam control valve 17 is closed completely, it is enabled to prevent intrusion of wet steam into steam turbine 7. Further, by providing spraying means 25 in the exhaust chamber of the steam turbine, it is enabled to prevent temperature rise in the exhaust chamber of the steam turbine.
