PURPOSE:To facilitate proper control of knocking by generating two types of pulse signals corresponding to output of a sensor for detecting vibration of an engine and sending these signals to a microcomputer as interruption signals for correcting ignition timing. CONSTITUTION:When a level of output signal S of a vibration sensor for detecting vibration of an engine exceeds the first standard level, the first pulse signal SP1 is generated and when exceeds the second standard level the second pulse signal SP2 generated through a signal processing circuit 27. These signals are sent as interruption signals into the input of a microcomputer for an electronic concentrated engine control system and subjected to interruption processes differing from each other to correct ignition timing figured out by the microcomputer by two steps corresponding to the size of knocking. Thus, only by adding a small-scaled correction program can be easily and properly carried out the knocking control with excellent responsive property corresponding to the magnitude of the knocking.
