Abstract

PURPOSE: To control air-to-fuel ratio of cylinders with use of a feedback control circuit, and to control others in the same proportion to cylinders on one hand side of the cylinders by providing an air-to-fuel sensor only on the exhaust system of the cylinders on one hand in an engine consisting of two cylinder gourps.
CONSTITUTION: An air-to-fuel sensor 5 is provided only on an exhaust pipe 3a of cylinders on one hand. A compensating control circuit 9 is given input of a signal of a feedback control circuit 6, when integrating output of an integrating circuit 62 increases, it yields low level, when it decreases, it yields high level, in short, integrating output means an output in which signals superimposed by anti-phase short wave-form signal output with average output of the integrating circuit 62 are given on a compensating circuit 7b on the other hand. In consequence, for example, in case where air-to-fuel ratio on the cylinders on one hand is going to be rich in the increase of integrating output C, air-to-fuel ratio on the cylinders on the other hand is to be lean without fail, which offsets the rotational fluctuating factor of the engine, and enables to repress the rotational fluctuation.
