Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A screen 8 is installed between an upward nozzle 7' immersed in molten steel 4 contained in a casting mold 3 and a solidifying wall 7, and the ratio l2/l1, where l2 is the breadth of the screen 8, l1 is the breadth of the flow of poured molten steel M, is set in the range about 0.1W0.6.
