Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure an independent processing for both the amplitude and the phase of the signal component, by connecting the output voltage of the bridge circuit to the phase regularizing circuit via the amplitude regularizing circuit and then obtaining the impedance variation of the bridge circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When the impedances of coils L1 and L2 of bridge circuit 101 vary, a difference is caused between the phase and the amplitude of the voltage between terminals A and B. For the amplitude, the voltage between terminals B and C is rectified by rectifiers 13 and 12 of amplitude regularizing circuit 102, the differential voltage is extracted via subtractor 14, and then this differential voltage is used to control automatic gain controller 11 to secure the equal voltage amplitude between terminals B and C. For the phase, phase wave detector 17 of phase regularizing circuit 103 delivers the DC voltage proportional to the phase difference between the signals of terminals B and D having an equal amplitude, and thus phase circuit 15 is controlled to give a control to secure the same phase for the voltage of terminals B and D each. Accordingly, output 19 of subtractor 18 becomes zero with a gentle change of the impedance, and then the signal of the sudden impedance change due to the flaw detection is delivered.
