Abstract

PURPOSE: To insulate electrically a line and a detector circuit to make it possible to detect the induced current including DC by using a Hall element as the detector circuit in the in-phase current detector circuit which detects the induction trouble of the metallic transmission line.
CONSTITUTION: When induction indicated by the dotted line is received by cable 3, the induced current is flowed to the earth through in-phase current suppression coil 8' and equivalent longitudinal circuit impedance 11 which is connected to the neutral point of in-phase current suppression coil 8'. At this time, a part of the magnetic flux generated by windings 9' and 10' of coil 8' becomes a leakage magnetic flux and is coupled with Hall IC circuit 12. Consequently, a voltage corresponding to the induced current is generated across output terminals 13 and 14 of circuit 12. This voltage is amplified by amplifier 15 and is indicated by output meter 17. As a result, the detection in a wide measurement range from DC to a high frequency is possible because the Hall element is used for the detection of the induced current.
