Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the disconnection of a wire disposed in an alert area easily detectable and make the wire disconnection restorable in a short time by placing said wire in the central part of a core for radio transmission and a core for detection, supplying a high frequency signal to the wire and detecting the electric current flowing in the wire. CONSTITUTION:A wire 10 is inserted through the gaps 9, 11 of a trochoidal core 8 for radio transmission and a trochoidal core 12 for detection consisting of magnetic materials, and is disposed in the center of the cores 8, 12. When high frequency electric current is supplied from a radio transmitter 16 to the coil 7 wound on the core 8, a magnetic flux is generated in this wire 10 to the circumferential direction of the core 8, and an induction magnetic field is generated in the wire 10, by which electric current is flowed therein. The current flowing in said wire 10 is outputted at both ends of the coil 13 wound on the core 12. The output of the coil 13 is detected with a detecting circuit 14, by which the presence or absence of the disconnection of the wire 10 is judged and displayed. Namely, if the current flows in the coil 13, it is indicative of the absence of disconnection in the wire 10 and if no current flows, it is indicative of the presence of disconnection in the wire 10.
