Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat insulating effect of a carburetor and reduce its weight, by forming a float chamber, that comprises a fuel chamber of the carburetor, with a synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A carburetor is constituted of a choke chamber 1 and float chamber 16, and simultaneously the total unit of the float chamber 16 is formed by a synthetic resin. In the choke chamber 1, main and slow jets 8, 9, fuel path 21, venturi 4, main nozzle 6 and the like are integrally arranged. Further a jointing surface 27 of the both chambers 1, 16 is provided upward by a height H above the constant oil level of a fuel chamber 30. In this way, even if the resin is thermally deformed, the fuel never flows out from the jointing surface 27 to a suction line, thus to prevent a rapid change of the air-fuel ratio.
