Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the air-fuel ratio by opening an inner vent from a float chamber common to each barrel of a duplex carburetor respectively and thereby exhausting easily the vapor generated in the float chamber at the time of high temperature.
CONSTITUTION: With the primary-side barrel having a fixed venturi 6 and with the secondary barrel 5' having an air valve 9' is communicated the common float chamber 1 through the intermediary of nozzles 3, 3' and wells 4, 4', and the barrels supply fuel respectively. And, the upper space 17 of the float chamber 1 and the barrels 5 and 5' are communicated with each other through the intermediary of the inner vent 10 and 10', and the primary side is formed into a dynamic-pressure type inner vent whose opening 16 is directed to the upstream side, while the secondary side is formed to be a static-pressure type inner vent whose opening 16' is parallel to the axis. Therefore, at a high-speed time, the air flows in the order of 10, 17 and 10' as shown by an arrow, sweeping the inside of a space 17.
