CONSTITUTION:A burner of this invention comprises a multiplicity of gas ejecting ports and a means consisting of a fuel tank 12 and gas supply passages 151 having different lengths and communicated to respective gas ejecting ports which is capable of increasing and decreasing the number of the gas ejecting ports. According to the present invention, combustion capacity of the burner is changed by opening and closing the inlets of the gas supply passages 151 through change in the level of fuel in the fuel tank 12 (including relative change of liquid level caused by the change of the height at the inlets of the gas supply passages).
