Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of NOx and to improve the firing and flame keeping performances of an oil burner by providing its fuel passage with a baffle which has two or more mixing-chamber passages independent of each other, through which the fuel and the fuel-air mixture are introduced to the combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel injected from the first fuel-pipe 9 is introduced to a combustion chamber 12 through a fuel passage 8. On the other hand, the fuel injected from the second fuel-pipe 10 into space 11 is sucked into each of mixing chamber passages 7 by the suction force of the air injected from air nozzles 6 in the mixing chamber passages 7, allowed to from a mixture flow with the air for combustion, and introduced to the combustion chamber 12. Thus, in the combustion chamber 12, a divided flame is formed, and a duel combustion due to the fuel density difference between central and circumferential atmospheres is performed, so that the amount of NOx can be efficiently reduced, and the highly concentrated fuel atmosphere, which is injected in the central part and combusted gradually, permits the flame to be stable, so that the firing and flame keeping performances can be improved.
