Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a flame jet burner for performing a rapid and reliable mixture and having a high burning efficiency, by burning an air-fuel mixture wherein fuel injected around a whirling air current is involved in the air current which whirls as air spreads outward.
CONSTITUTION: An air nozzle 5 is provided at a center of a base of a combustion cylinder 1. A spral vane 7 producing a whirl current of injected air is located in an air feed passage 6 feeding air to the air nozzle 5. Injectors 9, whose ends serve as fuel nozzles 8, protrude at equal intervals around the air nozzle 5. High pressure air is fed to the air nozzle 5 from an air feed port 10 through the air feed passage 6, high pressure fuel being fed to the air nozzles 8 from a fuel feed port 11 through a fuel feed passage 12. This constitution causes fuel injected from the fuel nozzles 8 to be rapidly involved in the whirl current of air flowing as it spreads outward from the center, and be dispersed unoformly as the fuel is mixed with air.
