Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a combustor which can reduce NOx and in addition prevent extingushing flame by jetting a small quantity of water. CONSTITUTION:The compressed water which reaches nozzles 14 through a circular pipe 12 and nozzle guide pipes 13 is jetted as if it encloses the whole circumference of a fuel cone 16 from the opening of circularly arranged nozzles 14. In this case, the water particles jetted from the nozzles 14 are made to have a small speed component in the burner axis direction and a speed component facing the turning air current caused by rotary blades 15 and are atomized and changed the direction by the outlet turning current of the turning blades 15 and run along the turning current. Therefore, retention time of the water particles in the burning region and the mixing effect can be increased. Since the water injected nozzles 14 are separated from a fuel injection valve 11 to the outlet of the turning blade 15, the fuel jetted from the fuel injection valve 11 is mixed fully with the turning air and since the water particles jetted from the nozzles do not contact directly with the fuel cone, extingushing flame will be avoided.
