Abstract
PURPOSE: To supply a circulating liquid dissolving a large amt. of air into an aeration tank by the pressurized condition of the liq. at the throttled part of a liquid feed pipe by throttling a part of the pipe and connecting simultaneously to the atmospheric air.
CONSTITUTION: When a circulating liquid is forced to an air dispersing means 1 through a circulating passage 4 pressurized by a pump 4 and a liquid ejecting pipe 5, atomospheric air is induced in the circulating liquid through an air feeding pipe 7 due to the negative pressure generated at the throttled part 3. The liquid and the induced air are both pressurized again in the ejecting pipe 5. Thus, a larger amt. of oxygen is dissolved in the liquid in the ejecting pipe than the solubility of oxygen under atmospheric pressure in proportion to thus pressurized extent. The activity of aerobic microorganisms in the liquid is thus enhanced.
