Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the treatment capacity of waste water by forming a waste water treatment system as a closed system, increasing the amount of dissolved oxygen in the mixec water of waste water and circulating water by pressing said system thereby propagating the microbes stuck and cultured on the surfaces of the granular carriers forming fluidized beds to a larger amount than that in conventional systems. CONSTITUTION:Waste water is pressurized to, for example, 4-5kg/cm<2> by a pump 7 and is sent into an oxygen supply device 2, where it is mixed with the circulating water frofm a fluidized bed reacting tank 1. Further the mixed water is aerated by the oxygen-contg. gas fed by a gas feed pipe 8. Here, a series of the waste water treatment system consisting of the fluidized bed reacting tank 1, oxygen supply device 2, circulating water pipe 3, inflow water pipe and fluidized bed carrier washing and regenerating device 11 is formed as a closed system. This closed system is operated under pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure, for example, 4-5kg/cm<2>, by which the dissolved oxygen in the water flowing into the fluidized beds is kept at 160-250mg/l. Thereby, the intended object is achieved and since the ratio of oxygen dissolution is high, the amount of the water for dissolving this can be smaller and the amount of the waste water is made constant. In addition, less amount of the circulating water is required.
