PURPOSE:To charge the photoreceptor without local variance of residual electric charge, by exposing the photoreceptor to light uniformly before transfer after developing and by removing electric charge on the surface of the photoreceptor before recharging after transfer. CONSTITUTION:Destaticizing lamp 15 is arranged between developer 9 and transfer corotron 5. Electric charge in the insulating layer of the photoreceptor which has the insulating layer on the surface is removed before transfer due to transfer corotron 5 after developing due to developer 9, and electric charge on the insulating layer is removed by destaticizer 16 to destaticize the photoreceptor before recharging after transfer. The photoreceptor consists of conductive substrate 11, photoconductive layer 12, and the transparent insulating material layer on them.
