Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure high stability for formation of a picture, by controlling the bias voltage which is applied to a grid electrode of a predestaticizer which is set opposite to a photoreceptor so that the potential is set at a certain level for an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A destaticizer 3 has a grid electrode and is connected to a voltage control means 12. A photoreceptor 1 includes a photosensitie layer and has an insulated resin layer 1a on the surface. The photoreceptor 1 is exposed to the light by an exposure means 2, and the voltage is applied to the primary corona discharger 4 to ensure the uniform charging on the surface of the photoreceptor. An optical image exposure is applied to the surface of the photoreceptor, and the corona destaticization is carried out by the secondary corona dischrger 6. The surface of the photoreceptor is exposed uniformly to the light by means of a full-surface exposure source, and a latent image is formed. This electrostatic latent image is converted into an apparent image. On the other hand, a developed image is transcribed to a transfer material 9 from a photorsensitive drum 1 and by the corona given from a transfer corona discharger 10 when the material has a contact with the drum 1. Then the material 9 is separated from the photoreceptor 1 ad led to a fixing device to be copied.
