It is imagewise exposed 14 at the same time as charged to a reverse polarity to that of the primary corona discharge with a secondary corona discharger 15. It is uniformly illuminated with a uniform exposure light source 16 to form an electrostatic latent image, which is developed with a developing device 17, the developed image is transferred to a transfer material 20 with a transfer corona discharger 18, and the developer remaining on the drum 1 is removed with a cleaning means 19.
