Abstract
PURPOSE: To attempt to eliminate the remaining potential at all and improve the transfer efficiency by making an insulating layer on the photoconductive layer of a special photoconductive material.
CONSTITUTION: Photoconductive layer 2, such as, Se is provided on the electroconductive substrate 1, and (semi) transparent photoconductive layer 3 which is of a different transmitting type and of less than 1/10 relating to its photosensitivity as compared with the layer 2 is disposed on the layer 2. This photoreceptor is uniformly and positively on its surface by charger 4 and the exposure of photoimage is made by slit exposure combined with charger 5. At the same time it is subjected to AC corona to be destaticized.
