Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the current loss caused by the output voltage detecting circuit, by connecting the emitter of the 2nd transistor to the emitter of the 3rd transistor in which the collector is connected to the power supply, in a regulated power supply circuit. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that the 1st transistor Q1 of hEF=100 is used and an output current up to 300mA is obtained, it is required to flow the current up to 300mA to the emitter of the 2nd transistor Q2. If the 3rd transistor Q3 has hEF=300, 10muA current is sufficient for the base. Thus, the current loss at no or light load can remarkably be reduced by selecting the resistance R2 which can flow only about 10muA current at a maximum.
