Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce dependencies of a power voltage and temperature by connecting a diode between the collector and base of a transistor in a forward direction and a resistance between its base and emitter.
CONSTITUTION: The emitter of transistor TR1 is connected to a negative power supply and its collector is to a positive power supply through resistance R1. Further, its base is connected to the cathode of diode D1 and also to the negative power supply through resistance R2. The anode of D1, on the other hand, is connected to the collector of TR1 and an output terminal is also to the collector of TR1. In this constitution, a current through D1 can be increased to a range where variation in voltage to current is small by a current flowing through resistance R2. An output voltage is therefore the sum of a base-emitter voltage of TR1 and an anode- cathode voltage of D1, so that variation in output voltage will be small in comparison with that in power voltage. In addition, using a resistance element with a negative temperature as resistance R2 makes temperature compensation possible.
