Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the area of heat conduction of the outside surface of the heat pipe and improve heat conductivity thereof and the heat-exchanging capability thereof by providing slant fins formed of metallic fibers on the outside surface of the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:Between an anode electrode 4 arranged in the above and cathode electrode 5 arranged below in opposition to the former is arranged a tubular heat pipe 6 without fins in the state before the fins being fitted thereto. A lot of metallic fibers 3 formed, for instance, of cut waste are supplied from above the electrode 4 and made to pass the electrode 4 thereby to be electrified in plus. The fibers 3 are fitted electrically on the heat pipe 6 electrified in minus, dispersed uniformly and erected. On the occasion, when a heat-resisting bonding agent is applied beforehand on the outside surface of the heat pipe 6, the fibers 3 are planted on this bonding agent and thus the slant fins 2 are fitted. Moreover, the heat pipe thus fitted with fibers may be sintered so as to strengthen the junction of the fins to the pipe 6. In the heat pipe 1 with the slant fins thus obtained, the area of heat conduction of the outside surface is increased and the heat conductivity an the heat exchanging capability are made improved.
