Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the trouble of an excitation regulator accurately within a short time and prevent the change of the output of a generator prviously by adding a simulator of double type automatic voltage regulators to the excitation regulator by the automatic voltage regulators. CONSTITUTION:The voltage and currents of a generator 1 are transmitted to automatic voltage regulators 11, 21 for doubling a control circuit and gate pulse generators 12, 22. A thrysitors 6 is controlled by changing over and using these apparatus, and a field system 2 of the generator 1 is controlled. A trouble detector 30 is mounted which consists of a simulating circuit 31 simulating the voltage regulators 11, 21 and a discriminating circuit 32, and three signals U, A1, A2 are compared by means of the discriminator 32 and a trouble annunicator 33 is acutated. Thus, not only the trouble of a controller during operation but also the trouble of the controller under waiting and the simulating circuit 31 can accurately be detected in a short time, and reliability can sharply be improved.
