Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily generate an error without a manual operation, by providing an artificial generation FF corresponding to an error checking circuit, on an information processing equipment which is provided with a function for inspecting the processing of a fault, and setting this FF by firmware of a control device. CONSTITUTION:Artificial generation FFs 71-7n corresponding to an error state to be generated are set to ''1'', and an operation is instructed to a controlling circuit 5. When a prescribed state has been attained, a check timing signal to a corresponding error is generated from a timing generating circuit 4, and the gates of AND circuits 31-3n are opened. As a result, outputs of the FFs 71-7n are outputted to the circuit 5 and corresponding error display FFs 61-6n through OR circuits 21-2n. In this case, firmware grasps that an error has been generated by an artificial fault, by reading out the FFs 71-7n and the error display FFs 61-6n, and executes a prescribed error processing operation.
