Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled magnetic alloy used as a material for a magnetic core corresponding to a high magnetic permeability metal tape which contains Ni and one or more of W, Cr, Mo, one or more of Nb and Ti, and Be in a predetermined ratio respectively and comprises the remainder of Fe.
CONSTITUTION: The titled magnetic alloy consists of, in a wt% basis, 78W83 Ni, and one or more of 0.1W5.4 W, 0.1W2.8 Cr and 0.1W4.0 Mo, one or more of 2.0W 3.0 Nb and 0.5W2.0 Ti, 0.01W0.5 Be and the remainder of Fe and inevitable impurities. The saturation magnetic flux density of said magnetic alloy is 7,500 gauss or more and a Vickers' hardness thereof is 150 or more. Then, from said alloy, a thin plate can be manufactured by hot and cold rollings and, further, can be easily processed to a core segment by subjecting to the punching or the photoetching.
