Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the Sendust alloy having a high corrosion resistance without reducing magnetic property by adding Cr to the magnetic alloy of conventional general composition and specifying the amount of S.
CONSTITUTION: This Sendust alloy (Fe-Si-Al high permeable alloy) is provided by newly adding Cr to the magnetic alloy of conventional general composition consisting of Si: 4W12%, Al: 2 W9%, and the remaining Fe, and by specifying the amount of S. Thus, the composition consists of Al: 2.0W9;0%, Si: 4.0W12.0%, Cr: 1.0W15;0%, C: 0.003W0.02%, S: 0.01%, and the remaining Fe. By applying a specified casting condition, this alloy achieves a smooth hot working, by which the corrosion resistance is further increased.
