CONSTITUTION:In twisted orientation of a nematic liquid crystal constituent having positive anisotropic dielectric constant including two color element or two color nematic liquid crystal constituent 28 at no electric field, the angle theta of the direction of orientation between the upper and lower substrates and electrodes 27, 27, is taken as pi/4<=¦theta¦<=pi/2.
