CONSTITUTION:Between substrates 1 provided with transparent electrodes, nematic liquid crystal of positive dielectric anisotropy containing not less than one kind of bicolor substance 5 with the light-absorptive axis nealy in parallel to the long molecule axis is sealed to form a liquid-crystal cell.
