Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a small-size and economical connection between the unbalanced 2-wire and 4-wire circuits,by setting the impedance of the artificial load of the balance network higher than the impedance of the unbalanced 2-wire circuit. CONSTITUTION:The balance network 5 includes the resistances Ra and Rb plus the artificial load Zp. These resistances Ra and Rb are selected so that the impedance of the load Zp is higher than the impedance of the unbalanced 2-wire circuit. The input signal of the input termianl 1 in the unbalanced 4-wire circuit is delivered to the input terminal 3 via the differential amplifier 4. The component supplied to the differential amplifier 6 from the terminal 3 via the resistance R3 is identical to the component supplied to the amplifier 6 from point (b) via the netwofk 5. As a result, the input signal supplied through the terminal 1 never turns into the terminal 2. The input signal applied to the terminal 3 from the unbalanced 2-wire circuit is delivered to the terminal 2 from the amplifier 6 since the component supplied to the amplifier 6 via the resistance 3 is larger than the component supplied via the network 5.
