Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the capacity of equipment such as an inverter, a transformer and a single-phase converter by a system wherein a current limiting value is lowered to such a value as to prevent the failured commutation of the converter when line voltage is reduced to not greater than a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: An arithmetic section 13 makes a comparison and performs calculations among a notch instruction and current limiting instruction from a master controller 14, an output of a speed detecting circuit 11, an output from a current detecting section 12 and output voltage of a single-phase converter 4 via a voltage detecting section 15 so as to control output voltage and frequency of an inverter 7 and accerelate a three-phase conduction motor 8 with a predetermined current limiting value. When a detected voltage signal from the voltage detecting section 15 is lowered to not greater than a predetermined value, the current limiting value is reduced to such a value as to prevent the failured commutation. By so doing, the failured commutation of the inverter can be positively prevented beforehand.
