Abstract

PURPOSE:To heat an article to be heated to a set temp. without generating temp. irregularity by a method wherein the temp. of the gaseous atmosphere in an indirect type heating furnace is regulated to a definite value and a combustion amount in an direct firing heating furnace is controlled based on a difference of the temp. of the article to be heated and a set temp. at an outlet of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:The article 1 to be heated is passed through a preheating slot 2, the direct firing heating furnace 3 and the indirect type heating furnace 4 and reached to the outlet part 5. In the furnace 4, the temp. of the atmospheric gas in said furnace is measured by a thermocouple 21 and a fuel flow amount control valve 20 is controlled by a temp. indication and control meter TIC3 so as to adjust the temp. of said gas to the set value set by the TIC3. The temp. of the article 1 to be heated at the outlet of said furnace 4 is measured by a radiation type thermometer 15 and the measured value is sent to a TIC1. The TIC1 counts the difference of the preliminarily set temp. of the article 1 to be heated and the measured value and the signal thereof is transmitted to a fuel flow amount indication and control meter FIC1 through a ratio setting instrument R1 and the FIC1 adjusts a a flow amount control valve 9 according to the order thereto. On the other hand, a FIC2 for air adjusts a flow amount control valve 13 through a flow amount detector 10 and a ratio setting instrument R2 to establish a predetermined air fuel ratio.
