Headings F4B, F4K and F4T. [Also in Division G3] In apparatus for heating and distributing a gaseous medium wherein hot gases leave a heating chamber 1 containing a burner 3 by way of ducts 8 and admix with air discharging from secondary air ducts 9, each duct 8 is provided with a flap valve 12 whose position is automatically adjusted to maintain the temperature of the gaseous mixture, as sensed by a resistance thermometer 11, at a predetermined value. The flap valves 12 are actuated via potentiometers 13 by adjusting motors 14, the potentiometers being connected in series via lead 18 to a regulator 7 and motor 6 which control the quantity of heat energy released by the burner 3. Air and gas are supplied to the burner by way of pipes 4 and 5. Temperature regulators 15 communicate with the thermometers 11 and adjusting motors 14 by means of leads 16 and 17. Fans 10 supply the various streams, each heated to its required temperature, to the points of utilization. Return ducts (not shown) are provided whereby gas which has been used and so cooled can be returned to the heating chamber.
