Abstract
PURPOSE:To control properly the temperature and atmosphere by measuring the temperature in the vicinity of a burner exclusively for air provided at a boundary of an oxidizing flame zone and a reducing flame zone in an oven and regulating the output of the burner exclusively for fuel to make said temperature constant. CONSTITUTION:A tunnel kiln body 1, an oxidizing flame zone 2 on the inlet side of and a reducing flame zone 3 at the central section are provided, and an ordinary type burner in the oxidizing flame zone 2 and a number of air and fuel mixing burners 4 in the reducing flame zone 3 are provided. A burner 5 exclusively for air is provided in the vicinity of a boundary between said oxidizing flame zone 2 and the reducing flame zone 3, and a thermometer 6 is installed in the vicinity of said burner 5 exclusively for air only to measure the temperature the temperature of said section. The measured value of temperature is taken into a controller 7 such as a microcomputer or the like for controlling. By said arrangement, the temperature and atmosphere in the tunnel kiln can be controlled in a stabilized way to stabilize the quality of a calcined product.
