Abstract

PURPOSE: To maximize flame temperature at the heat raising period, minimize fuel flow at the soaking period and achieve the reduction of fuel unit by performing the gas pressure setting to change the flow of the fuel to be supplied into the furnace according to the condition of the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The respective ON-OFF valves 56 interposed to the air feed pipe 3 for combustion and fuel gas feed pipe 4 connected to the combustion burner 2 of a batch type heat treating furnace 1 are ON-OFF controlled by the signal of a temperature controller 8. The pressure regulating valve 7 interposed to the fuel gas feed pipe 4 is controlled by a gas pressure setter 9. The flame temperature in the furnace 1 during operation is measured with a thermometer 10. In this state, the gas pressure to maximize the flame temperature at the heating and the gas pressure to minimize the fuel flow at the soaking are beforehand set in the gas pressure setter 9 to let the operation of the gas pressure control valve 7 be accomplished. By this method, the gas pressure controlling rapidly coping with the condition of the fuel gas feed source and the fluctuations of the combustion condition is accomplished.
