Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an oscillator of high frequency stability at low cost by performing temperature compensation of an oscillatior frequency by fitting a thermistor or posistor to a gate bias circuit of FET. CONSTITUTION:To the gate bias circuit of FET oscillator 10, temperature compensation circuit 12 is connected. Circuit 12, composed of a thermistor or posistor 13 and resistance 14, is applied with a direct-current voltage from terminal 15. Setting values of resistance 14 and the thermistor or posistor 13 and its temperature coefficient satisfying a fixed relation formula compensates variation in oscillation frequency with the temperature of oscillator 10, so that a stable oscillator with nearly none of the frequency variation to temperature variation can be manufactured at low cost.
