Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacture of a voice coil for a loudspeaker or the like, by coating an electroconductive metal layer on a bobbin of fiber-glass, coating a reticulate anti-etching layer on the electroconductive metal layer and performing etching to leave only a coil shape.
CONSTITUTION: An electroconductive metal layer 2 of copper or the like is provided on the inside and outside surfaces of a cylinder by coating a leaf of the metal, evaporating or plating the metal or by other means. The cylinder is made of fiber- glass and has a prescribed thickness. A photosensitive layer, which becomes acid- proof when exposed to light, is coated on the electroconductive metal layer 2. The photosensitive layer is covered with meshes consisting of line parts, which are pervious to ultraviolet rays and correspond to coil parts, and other line parts which intercept ultraviolet rays and corredpond to coil gaps. Ultraviolet rays are then irradiated to print a coil pattern. The pattern is developed to leave only light- irradiated parts as anti-etching layers 3. Etching is then effected by a solution of iron chloride or the like to remove exposed layer parts 2 to manufacture a coil only under the layers 3. The layers 3 are removed. To manufacture a multilayer coil, such a process is repeated.
