Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the subject printing plate capable of performing hot metal screen printing with high accuracy by applying non-electrolytic nickel plating on meshes made of an insulating material and photoengraving thereon a printing pattern.
CONSTITUTION: Non-electrolytic plating is applied on meshes 2A made of an insulating material extended on a picture frame shaped square frame 14, and nickel plated layers M1 and M2 having a film thickness of from 3W5μ are applied around the periphery of meshes 2A1. Then, the mesh is bonded and fixed on the surface of a rectangular screen plate frame 1A. Thereafter, on both surfaces of the mesh 2A there is pasted a masking tape 6A having a region larger than the area of the pattern to be printed, and on both surface of the mesh 2A there is applied an acid proof masking layer 16. Then, the tape 6A is removed, and nickel plated of the exposed part 6B is removed to form an insulating part 6. After removing the layer 16, a screen engraving photosensitive emulsion 17 is applied, and a positive pattern 18 is superimposed thereon, and a printing pattern 3A, and electrode fitting patterns 8A and 9A are printed and exposed.
