Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable positive type originals to be used as copying images by performing the first image exposure on the photoconductor which has undergone uniform charging, thence simultaneously performing the re-charging of the same polarity as that of the foregoing uniform charging and the second and subsequent image exposure.
CONSTITUTION: In the method of superposedly forming the electrostatic latent images of two or more images on a photoconductor, uniform charging is performed on the photoconductor layer 1' on a photoconductor drum 1 by an initial charging part 2, after which the exposure of the first image is accomplished by a primary exposure part 3. Next, re-charging is done on the latent image parts having been subjected to the primary exposure at the same polarity as the initial charging part 2 in a re-charging part 4 and at the same time a positive type format original 13 is subjected to secondary exposure by a copying optical system 5, whereby the electrostatic latent images of the second images may be overlapped and formed without the disappearance of the images at the primary exposure.
