PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality color copy with a small frequency of exposure, by transcribing two types of double color toner images formed successively at two photosensitive parts which are provided to a photoreceptor onto the same transfer drum and in overlap. CONSTITUTION:Two photosensitive parts 2 and 3 having two types of double color sensitive layers are provided to a photosensitive drum 1. Then charge simultaneous exposures 4 and 5, the adverse charge 6, a picture exposure 7 plus double color developments 8 and 9 are successively carried out to the part 2. A double color toner image thus obtained is transcribed to a transfer drum 12. The same process is given also to the turning part 3, and double color developments 10 and 11 are carried out to form a double color toner image. This toner image is transcribed over the toner image which is previously transcribed on the drum 12. In such a way, a high-quality color copy is obtained with a small frequency of exposure.
