Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high quality multicolor image without deviation in position in a simple constitution, by superposing and forming a multicolor image over the photosensitive drum at high precision of position, and producing a multicolor image by one transfer.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical photosensitive drum 3 lined with a photoelectric film 1 on a conductive film 2 is rotatably installed. A black color image is formed on the drum 3 as the first color. That is, the photoconductive film 1 is positively charged by a corona charger 4. The color origianl image is then exposed through a red color filter 5a, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the photoelectric film 1. This image is developed by a black color toner in a developing apparatus 6a, and the black color visible image of the first color is obtained. Then, taking exact timing, the drum 3 is rotated, and a red color image is overlapped on the black color image by means of the charger 4. Next, using a complementary color filter 5b of the red color filter 5a, the color original image is exposed, and the red color toner image is obtained by the developing apparatus 6b. Then, by transferring the visible images of two colors at a time, a multicolor image may be obtained.
