Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a precise control method for machining a gap precisely where an excess feed of electrode that makes up machining energy supply source may not be allowed for an electric discharge and electrolytic machining by use of electrophysical and electrochemical processes. CONSTITUTION:A method where a signal V' transmitted from a detection unit 4 that measures the length of machining gap 3 which is an object to machine is compared with a setting value or a target value V, according to the deviation E thereof, allowing to control the operation unit 2 of a servo motor, a pulse motor or other electrode feed configuration with a amplifier 1, is provided with a circuit 5 having a differentiation of deviation E and a phase conversion, a power amplifier 6, and an electric strain element or a magnetic strain element 7 that is secured with said operation unit 2. Then, said deviation E is differentiated by the differentiation phase converting circuit 5 to give a variation D, further allowing to develop the phase conversion to excite the magnetic strain element 7 by the voltage proportional to -D to make expandably or contractively in a machining gap direction.
